  • EggmenGroup Announces the Finale of the 2nd Step it Up in the Framework of Nike Play City Project

    EggmenGroup LLC is delighted to announce the finale of the 2nd Step it Up campaign within Nike Play City project, which was launched to promote sports' role in changing the world. The Step it Up campaign Battle of the Boroughs has been started in February 2010 by YouthNoise, in partnership with Nike, the Department of Youth & Community Development and the Global Youth Leadership Institute. The finale of the citywide competition with 10 dance teams from all five New York City boroughs competing for prizes took place at the New Amsterdam Theater in NYC. The first prize has been won by Generation X, a Bronx dance team, addressing inequality, the second place belongs to Ozone Steppers team, focusing on environmental issues, and the third place — to Urban Motions, a Brooklyn dance crew, raising inequality issues.

    Nike Play City is a large-scale joint project of YouthNoise and Nike, Inc. featuring a portal for a youth-led movement, using sports as a catalyst for personal and social change. The project's goal is to build a community of millions of young people to inspire and activate their peers to address the most pressing issues in their communities by using sports. Play City embraces a number of sub projects, such as Step it Up, Beat Gasoline, Focus the Nation, Play it Forward.
