  • EggmenGroup Helps YouthNoise to Launch Youth Building Healthy Communities Project

    12/07/2010
EggmenGroup LLC has recently announced the launch of Youth Building Healthy Communities (''YBHC'') web application developed within its cooperation with YouthNoise, a non-profit organization committed to engaging Americans to get involved in critical domestic and global issues.

YBHC is a year-long program that unites community-based organizations (CBOs) to support young leaders in three target cities of Detroit, Albuquerque and Oakland in building campaigns against health disparities in their neighborhoods, using digital media and on-the-ground activism. The program aims at pushing for better living environments, finding solutions to addiction and gang violence, and advocating for safer sex, a commitment to fitness, more green spaces, good nutrition, and healthy lifestyles.

Throughout the four phases of the project, YBHC will provide resources, employment, mentoring, and training opportunities to empower young people to become key project organizers in their communities. Supported by a Kresge Foundation grant, YBHC will use best practices in traditional community organizing, social issue media, and online tools to facilitate youth-led social change. Throughout their health campaigns, YBHC leaders will have the unique opportunity to learn how to create effective media and publish their works in both online and broadcast media through Link TV and YouthNoise.

EggmenGroup is committed to supporting YouthNoise in its projects of social value and applied its remarkable expertise in social networks development and front-rank web solutions for the creation of YBHC portal. ''Our cooperation with YouthNoise in dozens campaigns has proven to be mutually beneficial for companies, said Andrei Skorokhod, CTO of EggmenGroup LLC, — ''this partnership is sure to further enhance EggmenGroup's expertise and development.'' — he added.
